Guangzhou City University of Technology (GCUT) is seeking to appoint full-time instructors to join a team of dedicated language teaching staff delivering our undergraduate programs in the School of Foreign Languages. The appointment will start from the onset of the summer term this year.
We are particularly interested in applicants who are native speakers of English, less than 60 years of age, have a Bachelor’s degree or above, and the minimum of 2 years’ English teaching experience or a TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certificate. Candidates without the teaching experience should be graduates from a college or a university with a degree in English Education, English Teaching or closely related fields. Apart from the above-mentioned, those with the awareness of the Chinese culture are specially encouraged.
Major duties include:
To contribute to the existing undergraduate teaching modules, including the courses of speaking, grammar, reading, writing, and western culture;
To apply task-based teaching approach to the classroom teaching;
To undertake engagement activities, such as seminars on English or the Western culture, English corner.
Salary & Benefits:
Monthly salary is at least RMB 10,000 to RMB 14,000, with an annual rise based on the assessment results.
